Darjeeling is a city in the Indian state of West Bengal and is a very popular tourist destination in India. It is located in the Lesser Himalayas at an elevation of 2,000 metres (6,560 ft). It is famous worldwide for views of the world’s third-highest mountain Kangchenjunga, and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Darjeeling is known the QUEEN OF HILL STATIONS and its crest of Kanchenjunga shining in the first dawn light truly supports this title.
- Day 1
The Day will start with your arrival. Our Representatives will receive you at New Jalpaiguri Railway station/Bagdogra airport and assist you with transfer to Gangtok (135 KM/5 hours drive Approx). Gangtok the capital of Sikkim and is known as the land of Monastery, Mystic ritual & festivals, it is at a height of 5480/feet. It is one of the famous tourist spots of India. On arrival at Gangtok complete the check-in formalities. Evening: Available for leisure, you can roam around M G Road(Mall road) or visit near by Shopping center. Overnight at Gangtok.
- Day 2
Morning : After breakfast excursion to Tsomgo Lake which is situated at height 3780/Mts and has a depth of 50 feet. This lake is home to Brahminy ducks & some migratory birds. Also visit : Baba Mandir(New)- The shrine made in memory of Sepoy Harbhajan Singh. Evening: Leisure. Overnight at Hotel
- Day 3
Morning : After breakfast Gangtok sightseeing: Visit Do Drul Chorten Stupa, Enchey Monastery, White hall, Flower show, Handicrafts & handloom. Departure to Kalimpong (Situated on the foothills of the Himalayas, Kalimpong is a green destination at an altitude 1243 Mts /4778 feet). Evening: Leisure & visit near by market area. Overnight at Kalimpong.
- Day 4
Morning : After breakfast Kalimpong sightseeing: visit Forest Museum (closed on Thursday), Deolo Hill, Durpin Monastery, Hanuman Temple, Mangal Dham, Pine view Nurseries (only Cactus). Departure for Darjeeling (66 KM / 2 Hours Approximate), visit : River Teesta on the way. Spectacular view of the Mount Everest on the way. Arrival at Darjeeling, transfer to hotel. Evening: Leisure & Shopping. Overnight at Darjeeling.
- Day 5
Early Morning (at around 3:30AM) : Drive through primer forest of oak to Tiger Hill to view sunrise at Kanchenjunga peak(subject to clear weather), visit on the way back: Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial, Batasia Loop then back to hotel. After breakfast Darjeeling sightseeing: visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (close on Thursday), Padmaja Naidu Zoological park, Ropeway, Tibetan refugee self help center(close on Sunday), Tea estate(outer view), Museum, Peace Pagoda. Overnight at Darjeeling.
- Day 5
Morning : After breakfast complete check out formalities and check out from hotel followed by drop at New Jalpaiguri Railway station/Bagdogra airport with lots of precious memories.
